Emotions Billed By Debt While SPlunging Into Wife, Man In Tanah Bumbu Kills His Own Friend

The Tanah BUMBU - Polres Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, arrested a young man with the initials MH (30) for killing his own friend.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanah Bumbu Police, AKP Agung Kurnia Putra, led the arrest of MH to be carried out in Satu District on Tuesday, April 30, evening.

"After receiving reports from residents, we immediately followed up," said Agung Kurnia Putra as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, May 3.

Agung explained that the chronology of the murder began when victim Calvin visited the suspect MH's house on Monday.

At that time, the suspect's wife spoke with victim Calvin in MH's room.

Then, Calvin had asked the suspect's wife about the debt, but MH reprimanded the victim not to discuss the debt problem.

The victim apologized, but the suspect saw victim Calvin blinking his eyes with the perpetrator's wife.

Seeing this action, the suspect MH got emotional and took a knife in the perpetrator's room, then stabbed Calvin once into Calvin's body.

Then, the suspect chased the victim who tried to escape after running about 200 meters the victim fell. The suspect again stabbed twice into the neck of victim Calvin.

In fact, the suspect took a machete to kill Calvin, but was intercepted by the perpetrator's wife.

Because he could not contain his emotions, the suspect slashed his wife's head until she was seriously injured. Furthermore, the suspect MH fled.

As a result of this incident, the suspect was charged with Article 44 Paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence and Article 338 of the Criminal Code.
