Jhoni Allen: Moeldoko's Electability Has Nothing To Do With His Position

JAKARTA - Senior cadre of the Democratic Party, Jhoni Allen, has denied the accusation that Moeldoko represented the Palace to take over the party bearing the Mercy symbol.

Jhoni said that Moeldoko was elected as General Chair of the Extraordinary Congressional Democratic Party (KLB) precisely because of his personality who promised hope for the improvement and success of the Democratic Party.

"More because of his sympathetic personality, respecting people and appreciating his subordinates. That is what makes us want him to be the general chairman", said Jhoni in a statement received by VOI, Monday, March 8.

Jhoni even explained that the initial initiative for Moeldoko's approach came from cadres within the party. He admitted that many cadres were interested in the figure of a Moeldoko.

"Because we are the ones who come to propose. We see a general who is very potential and has no deficiency", continued the politician from Medan.

Jhoni also hopes that there will be no more parties linking Moeldoko's election with the Palace. Because there is no strong reason to drag the relationship between the Palace and Moeldoko's election.

"It has nothing to do with Sir Moeldoko's position", he said.
