Yahukimo Police Chief AKBP Heru Hidayanto admitted that a joint team from the Yahukimo Police and the Cartenz Peace Task Force arrested five of the seven perpetrators of the molestation that killed Bripda Oktovianus Buara.
"It is true that only five of the seven people have been arrested and currently detained at the Yahukimo Police Station in Dekai," Heru said in a written statement quoted from Antara, Wednesday, May 1.
The five people arrested were WK, AP, AS, FW and DA. He explained that Bripda Oktovianus Buara was found dead from the injuries he suffered Tuesday morning in Dekai.
Regarding the two perpetrators who have not been arrested, Heru admitted that they have been included in the wanted list (DPO) issued by the Yahukimo Police.
"IS and SM have been included in the Yahukimo Police DPO and are currently being sought," said AKBP Heru.
He added that the evidence that was secured included the stone used by the perpetrators to persecute the victim, a block used by US checks hitting the victim, a jacket used by AP checks at the time of the incident, while the sharp weapon or knife used to kill the victim was not found at the scene.
"Members are still searching to find the evidence," explained Yahukimo Police Chief AKBP Heru Hidayanto.
