After Attacking The Sector Police, KKB Burns The School Building In Intan Jaya

INTAN JAYA - The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) or the independent Papuan organization (OPM) set fire to the Pogapa Inpres State Elementary School (SDN) building, Homeyo District, Intan Jaya Regency, Wednesday, May 1 at around 08.00 WIT morning.

The day before, last Tuesday, the OPM attacked the Homeyo Police Headquarters and killed a civilian from Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi named Alexander Parapak (20).

Head of the Cartenz Peace Operations Public Relations Task Force AKBP Bayu Suseno said the location of the SD building was only about 50 meters from the Homeyo Police Headquarters.

"The burning of the Pogapa Inpres Elementary School building was carried out by the KKB in the Homeyo area, in this action there was a sound of a long-barreled firearm eruption," said Bayu in a statement, Wednesday, May 1.

Based on community reports, said Bayu, the perpetrators of the attack were carried out by the Keni Tipagau group from Kodap VIII Kemabu led by Undius Kogoya and Aibon Kogoya.

"We really hope for community support to participate in maintaining security and order in the Homeyo district from the threat of the KKB, so as to create peace," he said.
