North Sumatra Religious Court Judge Proven Cheating Fired By Judicial Commission

The Judicial Commission (KY) Honorary Council (MKH) has imposed sanctions for dismissal with pension rights for judges in North Sumatra (North Sumatra) with the initials A who are having an affair.

The chairman of MKH Siti Nurdjanah said A was proven to have violated the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct of Judges (KEPPH) for having an affair. In the trial, the companion team of Indonesian Judges (IKAHI) said that the reported party had submitted his resignation as a judge on October 5, 2022. However, the letter has not yet been signed by President Joko Widodo, so the status of the reported party is still as a judge and MKH is still authorized to examine the reported party. It was also revealed in the trial that the reported party had been summoned twice legally and had to attend the MKH trial, namely on March 15, 2024 and April 19, 2024. However, the concerned was not present and did not file witnesses. Siti said that the absence of Judge A was not due to a similar reason. Therefore, MKH handed down a decision without the presence of the reported party. "So by pointing at the results of the examination of the Judicial Commission of the Indonesian Republic of Indonesia, the Honorary Council of Judges argued that the reported did not use their rights to defend themselves at the Honorary Council of Judges so that the Honorary Council of Judges was found to be proven to have violated the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct, "Siti said.

Terdapat dua hal yang memberatkan terlapor. Pertama, perbuatan terlapor yang berselingkuh telah merusak citra korps hakim dan lembaga peradilan. Kedua, terlapor telah mengabaikan panggilan MKH untuk menghadap di persidangan etik. Sementara itu, tidak ada hal-hal yang meringankan.Sidang MKH ini dipimpin oleh Wakil Ketua KY Siti Nurdjanah dengan anggota majelis Sukma Violetta, Joko Sasmito, dan Binziad Kadafi yang mewakili KY. Sementara yang mewakili MA adalah Hakim Agung Abdul Manaf, Purwosusilo, dan Pri Pambudi Teguh.
