Minister Of Communication And Information: Online Gamblers Will Never Win Against Bandar Machines

JAKARTA - Minister of Communication and Information (Menkominfo) Budi Arie Setiadi reminded people who are still doing online gambling to stop immediately because according to him the public will never get a victory in their gamble against the sophistication of machines.

"You will not win against the machine of the judionline dealer, that's my message to the public. Crazy, people will lose 100 percent, it's important to understand so that these people don't play online," Budi said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 30.

Budi conveyed the message because according to him there are still people who play and bet on online gambling even though they have been banned by regulations.

Judionline is prohibited in Indonesia because it is influenced by one of the factors, namely addiction. Head of the Psychiatric Division of Addiction, Department of Mental Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (FKUI) Dr. Dr. Kristiana Site Kurniasanti explained that the level of judicial addiction has the same effect as when people are addicted to narcotics.

Therefore, in the case of individuals who have been addicted to gambling, they can only meet their dopamine deficiency by doing things that are prohibited by the country.

The Minister of Communication and Information advised people who are addicted to gambling to stop doing things that violate these rules. Even Budi reminded women who currently have a relationship with gambling to better leave their partners.

"If you have a boyfriend playing gambling, decide it! Just look for something else, if you have a future husband playing gambling, leave it. Because it doesn't bring goodness," said Budi.

As for serious handling, according to Budi, the Indonesian government is still coordinating across institutions and ministries through the Online Judi Task Force.

The task force led by the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Hadi Tjahjanto is still looking for the right formula to be able to eradicate gambling in Indonesia.

"The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs is currently formulating several formulas for online gambling. Because the judionline is a transactional, cross-border crime, that's the first. Second, the digitalization property is borderless, without limits. The three of our neighboring countries are legally gambling, so we have to take comprehensive steps regarding the eradication of online gambling," said Budi.
