Saudi Arabia Completes Management Of 171 Thousand Visa Indonesian Hajj Pilgrims

JAKARTA - Saudi Arabia's Minister for Hajj and Umrah Affairs, Tawfiq Fawzan Muhammed Alrbiah, said his country had completed 171,000 Indonesian Hajj pilgrims or about 70 percent of the total quota of Indonesian pilgrims in 2024 as many as 241 thousand people.

"We have completed 171,000 pilgrims, approximately 70 percent of the total number of Indonesian pilgrims and hopefully the remaining number will be completed in the next week," said Tawfiq after meeting with the Vice President (Wapres) of the Republic of Indonesia Ma'ruf Amin at the Vice President's Palace, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 30.

The meeting discussed the implementation of Hajj 1445 Hijri/2024 to the addition of quotas for pilgrims for Indonesia.

During the meeting, said Tawfiq, he also discussed the service of Macca Road, also known as the fast track, where as many as 120,000 Indonesian pilgrims use this service.

"That approximately 120,000 pilgrims will use this facility and this is the largest number of countries using this fast track facility compared to other countries," said Tawfiq.

In his meeting with the Vice President, he was also accompanied by several delegates from various government sectors who were also involved in organizing the 2024 Hajj.

"Even including other sectors such as civil aviation and others, to ensure better services for Indonesian pilgrims," said Tawfiq.
