Picu Brawl In Semarang, 29 Genster Members Arrested

SEMARANG - Police have arrested dozens of teenagers suspected of being gangsters who will fight in several different locations in Semarang City, Central Java, on Sunday, April 28, 2024 in the morning.

"29 people were arrested from three different locations," said Head of Samapta Polrestabes Semarang, AKBP Tri Wisnugroho, quoted by ANTARA, Sunday, April 28.

Together with dozens of teenagers who were members of the gangster, he said, several sharp weapons were also found which were suspected to be used during the brawl.

The location of each arrest was carried out in Bandarharjo, North Semarang, and two people with sharp weapons were arrested.

In the second location, eight people were arrested around Simongan, West Semarang along with onions as evidence of sickles and saws.

"In Simongan three people fled by throwing themselves into the river," he said.

Meanwhile, at the last location on Jalan Petek, North Semarang, the police arrested 19 people suspected of being involved in a brawl.

29 members of the gangster were then handed over to the Semarang Police Criminal Investigation Unit for further legal proceedings.

He added that most of the gang members who were arrested were still minors.
