JAKARTA - The Head of Information and Communication of the Indonesian Market Traders Association (IKAPPI) Reynaldi Sarijowan revealed that several people are not market traders but who receive COVID-19 vaccinations at the Tanah Abang Market.
"We have found various reports, some people who are not market traders but also vaccinated in Tanah Abang", Reynaldi said when contacted by VOI, Sunday, March 7.
Reynaldi regretted the escape of several individuals who seized the second stage of the COVID-19 vaccine which is intended for public service officers, including market traders.
"We really regret this incident because of negligence. This should not happen again in the future so that we focus on prioritizing market traders who are vaccinated because the number of vaccines is also limited", said Reynaldi.
In fact, Reynaldi admitted that his party had warned the DKI Provincial Government, both the Health Service and PD Pasar Jaya as the DKI Jakarta BUMD (Regionally-Owned Enterprises) to be careful in collecting data and verifying data on traders who will be vaccinated.
Reynaldi said the DKI Jakarta Health Office should not throw away the responsibility related to data collection on market traders because it feels its job in this case is post-vaccination handling.
Therefore, if PD Pasar Jaya is having difficulty collecting and verifying data, it should be able to coordinate with related parties.
"If PD Pasar is unable to collect data, invite the heads of the market block. So that then it will be directed to traders in their respective blocks to registers", said Reynaldi.
"This is actually a technical problem. We hope that in the future this problem will not happen again", he continued.
