KPK Names DPR Member Ihsan Yunus Included In One Of The Companies Allegedly Involved In Corruption In PPE Procurement

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that two companies were involved in allegations of corruption in the procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE) at the Ministry of Health. The name of a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Ihsan Yunus, is suspected of being included in one of them. "Yesterday, witness Mr. Ihsan Yunus was summoned and examined, of course, because we have data and information that there is a name in question in one company, for example, allegedly involved in the alleged corruption," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters, Thursday, April 25. Ali said that two companies, one of which contained the name Ihsan Yunus, also enjoyed money from fraudulent practices that cost the state up to Rp625 billion. “ Then there is also money enjoyed by certain parties,” he said. "“Oleh, therefore we are currently continuing to investigate related to examinations, digging up information, and data regarding the flow of money, both to suspects who have been named and other parties," continued Ali. In addition to the name Ihsan Yunus, Ali also mentioned that there were other names involved between the two companies, namely Fadel Muhammad, who now serves as Deputy Chair of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly. “Oleh karena itu tentu kami dalami segala informasi data, prinsipnya itu. The number is more than one person but his identity has not been disclosed. From the results of the temporary investigation, the value of state losses caused reached hundreds of billions of rupiah. The project value is IDR 3.03 trillion for the procurement of 5 million PPE packages.

In this case, five people have been prevented from leaving the country. Based on circulating information, they are Budi Karya as the state civil apparatus (ASN) at the Ministry of Health, Hermansyah who is an ASN from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Satrio Wibowo and Ahmad Taufik as private sector, and A. Isdar Yusuf as advocates.
