JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo responded by smiling at the statement of one of the PDI-P officials who said he was no longer a cadre of the party. When asked by reporters about this after opening the 2024 National Health Work Meeting at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition Bumi Serpong Damai in South Tangerang, Banten, President Jokowi thanked him with a smile. "Yes, thank you," said the President briefly, smiling and leaving reporters as reported by Antara. Previously, the Chairperson of the PDI-P DPP for Honorary Affairs, Komarudin Watubun, said that Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka was no longer part of the party bearing the white-nosed bull symbol. "Gibran is no longer a party cadre. I have said that since he took the decision," said Komarudin at the PDI-P DPP Office, Jakarta, Monday (22/4) night. According to him, Gibran's status has no longer been a PDI-P cadre since the eldest son of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo decided to accompany Prabowo Subianto as a vice presidential candidate in the 2024 presidential election.
