Anies-Muhaimin Present At KPU Watch Prabowo-Gibran Appointment Elected President-Vice President

JAKARTA - Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar were present at the office of the General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia to witness the determination of Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as president and vice president elected for the period 2024-2029.

Anies wore a black coat with a white shirt, while Cak Imin wore a green suit and white shirt. Anies and Cak Imin had smiled at the media crew in front of the KPU building.

Prabowo and Gibran first came to the Indonesian KPU office at 09.49 WIB. Before the two arrived, a number of general chairmen of the Indonesian Forward Coalition political parties picked up Prabowo-Gibran's arrival.

Some of them are PSI Chairman Kaesang Pangarep, Golkar Party Chairman Airlangga Hartarto, Democratic Party Chairman Agus Hari Murtiyudhoyono, PAN Party Chair Zulkifli Hasan.

Also present were President Joko Widodo's ministers such as Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian and Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Hadi Tjahjanto, Minister of Communication and Information Budi Arie Setiadi and Minister of Investment Bahlil Lahadalia.

The National Campaign Team (TKN) and the Prabowo-Gibran legal team at the Constitutional Court were also present at the KPU building.

The KPU today appointed Prabowo-Gibran as president and vice president elected for the 2024 General Election. This was stated in the KPU's decision read by the Chairman of the Indonesian KPU Hasyim Asy'ari.

Previously, the KPU officially determined the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, as the winner of the 2024 General Election with 96,214,691 votes or 58.58 percent of all national valid votes.

Then, presidential and vice presidential candidates number 1 Anies Baswesan-Muhaimin Iskandar received 40,971,906 votes or 24.95 percent. Meanwhile, presidential and vice presidential candidates number 3 Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD received 27,040,878 votes or 16.47 percent. The total valid votes for the 2024 Presidential Election are 164,227,475 votes.
