Mooryati Soedibyo Cucu Raja Surakarta Paku Buwono X Buried In Bogor

JAKARTA - The body of Mustika founder Ratu Mooryati Soedibyo will be buried in Tapos, Bogor, West Java on Wednesday, April 24 afternoon, as confirmed by Corporate PR & Promotion Manager Mustika Ratu Mega Angkasa.

"The body is buried at the funeral home of Jl. Mangunsarkoro No 69, Jakarta-Central, Menteng. Will go to the funeral/final resting place in Tapos, Bogor from the funeral home after Ba'da Dzuhur," Mega Angkasa said when contacted by ANTARA.

Previously, the son of the founder of Mustika Ratu Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani also confirmed the news of the death of her mother, Mooryati Soedibyo on Wednesday (24/4) in the early hours of Jakarta.

"Yes," said Putri when contacted by ANTARA.

Mooryati died at the age of 96 years and is currently buried at the funeral home in Menteng area, Central Jakarta.

The deceased left five children namely Djoko Ramiadji, Putri Kus Wisnu Wardani, Dewi Nurhandayani, Haryo T. Baskoro and Yulita Warastuti.

Mooryati is the grandson of the King of Kasunanan Surakarta Paku Bowono X who started his herbal medicine business in 1975 and founded Mustika Ratu in 1978.

In its development, Mustika Ratu produces various beauty and health products marketed in Indonesia and abroad, including in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and the United States.

Mooryati is also known as the founder of the Puteri Indonesia Foundation and the originator of the Puteri Indonesia beauty pageant, which is held annually since 1992.

He was once Deputy Chair II of the People's Consultative Assembly for the 2004-2009 Period. Mooryati was also registered by MURI as the oldest doctoral degree winner in Indonesia, and as "Empu Jamu".

In 2007, her name was ranked number 7 in the list of the 99 most influential women in Indonesia according to Globe Asia magazine.
