Not Talking About Politics, Deputy NasDem Admits Meeting Prabowo For Private Gathering

JAKARTA - The Deputy of the NasDem Party Ahmad Ali admitted that his visit to the residence of the elected president Prabowo Subianto in Kertanegara IV tonight was not related to politics but only friendship. Ali denied that his meeting with Prabowo and the Daily Chairperson of the Gerindra DPP Sufmi Dasco Ahmad to discuss the coalition. He admitted that his arrival did not represent a party but was private. "There was no political discussion, came a gathering, I did not come to represent the Party. I came to meet Mr. Dasco and Pak Prabowo, just give a speech," said Ahmad Ali in Kertanegara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta, Tuesday, April 23. Ali dismissed himself if he was in a hurry to Kertanegara until he had to ride a motorbike. He reasoned, only to avoid congestion. Because he said, tonight coincided with Prabowo meeting with his legal team. "We made an appointment with a predetermined time, pursuing effective, coincidentally Mr. Prabowo again had an event tonight," he said.

"Enggak tahu, saya tidak mewakili siapa siapa saya datang mewakili pribadi saja," katanya. Bahkan, Ali mengaku tak sempat lapor ke Ketua Umum NasDem Surya Paloh atas kehadirannya di Kertanegara malam ini. Meskipun, kata dia, sudah ada janji lebih dulu dengan Dasco sebagai sahabat. "Saya belum sempat. (Tapi) Enggak (mendadak) sih, saya kan sama pak Dasco sudah lama temanan," jelas Ali. "Kan saya tidak mewakili partai, sehingga saya tentunya, walaupun melekat dalam diri saya wakil ketua umum, tapi saya tidak datang mewakili partai sehingga tidak ada pembicaraan secara politik," pungkasnya.
