West Manggarai Prosecutor's Office Searches PKO Office To Find Evidence Of Corruption Cases

LABUAN BAJO - The Investigating Prosecutor's Team for Special Crimes (Tipidsus) of the West Manggarai District Attorney's Office (Kejari) searched the West Manggarai Youth and Sports Education Office (PKO), East Nusa Tenggara, related to allegations of corruption. "The case of alleged corruption in the work package for the construction of facilities and infrastructure at the Mbuhung Campground, Tiwu Nampar Village, Komodo District," said Head of the Special Crimes Section (Kasipidsus) of the West Manggarai Kejari Wisnu Sanjaya at a press conference in Labuan Bajo, Antara, Tuesday, April 23. The purpose of the search was to find, find and collect evidence related to the work package for the construction of facilities and infrastructure at the Mbung Campground in the 2021 — 2022 budget year which cost more than IDR 700 million. "With this evidence, it sheds light on the criminal acts that occurred in order to find the suspect, as well as prevent the removal or destruction of evidence and complete the case file," he explained. There are a number of documents taken to be inventoried by the prosecutor's team. The West Manggarai Kejari Kejari Tipidsus Team to the investigation level has examined 13 people related to the construction package for facilities and infrastructure at the Mbung Campground. "We found that this physical work lacked volume and there were contract terms that were not implemented. To explore this, we need evidence in the form of documents that we took at the service," he said. After the search, the West Manggarai Kejari Prosecutor's Tipidsus Team scheduled a summons for several other parties. The team also investigated the case to ascertain whether there were other alleged criminal cases in the construction work. Regarding the state loss due to the alleged corruption crime, he explained that his party was still waiting for an audit from the Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS) Surabaya.

He also explained that the construction of five work packages for the construction of facilities and infrastructure at the Mbuhung Campground in 2021. This facility is to support West Manggarai Regency to host the provincial-level National Jambore activities in 2022.
