1.6 Years Of Inkracht Sentence, 2 Corruption Convicts Of PNPM Gandapura Aceh Sent To Prison

BANDA ACEH - Bireuen District Attorney (Kejari) in Aceh Province executed two convicts of the Gandapura National Community Empowerment Program (PNPM) savings and loan corruption case to prison.

Both Saiful Mualli and Fitriah were executed after their case had permanent legal force or inkracht.

"The two convicts were executed in detention centers and prisons to carry out their sentences based on the decision of the panel of judges who had permanent legal force or inkrah," said Head of the Special Crimes Section of the Bireuen Attorney General's Office, Siara Nedy in Banda Aceh, Tuesday, April 23, as reported by Antara.

The convict Saiful Mualli was executed at the Banda Aceh State Detention Center (Rutan). Meanwhile, the convict Fitriah was executed at the Class III Lhoknga Correctional Institution (Lapas), Aceh Besar District.

Siara Nedy said the two convicts were found guilty by the panel of judges at the Corruption Court at the Banda Aceh District Court, each one year and six months in prison.

The two convicts were guilty of violating Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 Paragraph (1) letters a and b, Paragraph (2) and (3) of Law Number 31 of 1999 which was changed to Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption in conjunction with Article 54 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code

In addition to imprisonment, the panel of judges also sentenced the two convicts to pay a fine of Rp. 50 million each. If you do not pay the fine, it will be replaced with imprisonment for three months in prison.

In addition, the panel of judges also sentenced the convict Saiful Mualli to pay compensation for state losses of Rp122.8 million. Meanwhile, the convict Fitriah was sentenced to pay compensation for state losses of Rp136.1 million.

Based on the judge's decision, if the convict does not pay compensation for state losses, then their property can be confiscated and auctioned off to pay compensation for state losses.

If the convict does not have sufficient assets to pay the compensation for the state's losses, he will be sentenced to six months in prison each.

"By executing the two convicts, both of them officially serve their sentences based on a court decision," said Siara Nedy.
