JAKARTA - Acting (Pj) Governor of the Bangka Belitung Islands (Babel) Syafrizal ZA asked the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia to immediately issue Technical Guidelines (Juknis) for People's Mining Permits (IPR), so that people can mine legally.
"Currently we are still waiting for the IPR Juknis from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources," said Syafrizal ZA after a coordination meeting on the handling and management of the AGO's confiscated assets in Pangkalpinang, Tuesday.
He said the issuance of the IPR Juknis was a step by the local government in eradicating illegal tin ore mining that damages the environment, ecology and other social problems.
"If Juknis IPR leaves, then we immediately form a team to issue an IPR in accordance with the criteria and indicators built," he said.
He stated that the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Government would also ask for legal opinion and existence from the prosecutor's office, so that from the beginning the IPR formation was correct.
"We are still waiting for Juknis IPR, including buyers of tin ore mining products from the legal people's tin mines," he said.

According to him, this IPR certainly does not have a smelter to manage tin ore. Will PT Timah Tbk or 20 smelters have an IUP to accommodate the products of this people's mine.
"Juknis ini yang saat ini kita menunggu. Oleh karena itu, diminta Kementerian ESDM untuk segera menerbitkan Juknis IPR ini," tandasnya.
