Russian And Ukrainian Foreigners Suspected Of Forging PCR Test Letters, Bali's Ministry Of Law And Human Rights Is Still Awaiting The Results Of The Investigation

JAKARTA - Head of the Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights Bali Jamaruli Manihuruk said that until now he is still waiting for the results of the police investigation regarding the suspicion that two foreigners named Olena Mukh and D. Mitrii Anokh used fake swab test results at Padangbai Port, Karangasem, Bali.

"The male foreigners are from Russia, while the women are from Ukraine. What is clear is that we are waiting for the results of the investigation by the Karangasem Police. If found guilty, the two people can be deported", said Jamaruli Manihuruk, quoted from Antara, Saturday, March 6.

He said that currently, the two foreigners were undergoing investigations at the Karangasem Police. Regarding the second passport, he said, it had been handed over to the Singaraja Immigration Office.

"If found guilty, the two people could be given immigration action whether deported or restrictions in several places in Indonesia, we can also decide on their residence permit", he said.

Previously, in his press statement, the Karangasem Police Chief AKBP Ni Nyoman Suartini explained that the arrests of the two foreigners were related to the alleged falsification of documents in the form of a statement on the results of the SARS-COV-2 PCR test.

The two foreigners were known to have come from West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), then arrived at the Padang Bai Port Integrated Post in Padang Bai Village, Manggis District, Karangasem Regency, Tuesday 2 March at around 09.00 WITA.

"When the two witnesses checked the certificate, several irregularities were found in the issuance of the certificate and the registration number on the certificate", he said.

Based on the statements of witnesses and from the two foreigners, the COVID-19 swab test certificate was obtained from a person named Steve at a restaurant in the Lombok area, NTB, when he was going to Bali.

After coordinating with the Siloam Canggu-Badung Hospital by telephone, said the Police Chief, the hospital stated that the Siloam Canggu Hospital had never issued the results of the SARS COV 2 PCR test for the two foreigners.
