Bali Secretary: Malukat Creates WWF Delegation Not A Form Of Commercialization

DENAPASAR - Bali Regional Secretary (Sekda) Dewa Made Indra emphasized that Dewa Made Indra's plan to injure or clean himself with holy water for the 10th World Water Forum (WWF) delegation is not aimed at commercializing the holy place.

This was conveyed in response to comments from the public who felt that thousands of delegates should not be brought to injure in sacred locations, one of which has the potential to be chosen is Tirta Empul Temple, Tampaksiring, Gianyar, because it seems to be a business.

"We must have calculated that services (injury places) to the community still have to be, but that destinations must be open to others as well," said Dewa Indra.

It is known that Bali, which is a cultural tourism area, has many injuring locations, one of which has recently been crowded with world celebrities is Tirta Empul Temple, so that the Balinese people know that the wound who is next to the Tampaksiring Presidential Palace is always crowded with local and international tourist visits.

The plan of the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno to invite tens of thousands of delegates to the place of injury and then receive a response from a number of local communities, so that the Dewa Indra Regional Secretary straightened out the purpose of the invitation.

"The melukat place is just an offer, because according to his name the World Water Forum is about water, one of the things that is offered is purification using water, which is melukat," he explained.

Saat ini Pemprov Bali juga masih memetakan alternatif tempat melukat, lantaran yang menjadi pertimbangan saat ini adalah akses menuju lokasi.
