DENPASAR - The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Badung Regency, Bali, provides three special counters to serve the 10th World Water Forum (WWF/World Air Forum) delegates on 18-25 May 2024 to facilitate immigration checks.

"We are preparing a special counter for delegates both at international arrivals and the VIP building of Ngurah Rai Airport," said Head of the Ngurah Immigration Office, Rai Suhendra, as reported by ANTARA, Monday, April 22.

He explained that the special counter was on standby for four Immigration personnel to speed up immigration services to the delegation.

Not only that, immigration services are also assisted by autogate operations or immigration automation facilities which currently have functioned as many as 30 units at the international arrival terminal since March 6, 2024.

The autogate is expected to accelerate the flow of arrivals of delegates and non-delegation international travelers.

The automated facility was able to cut the duration of immigration checks from a few minutes to 15 to 25 seconds per traveler.

On the other hand, Immigration is also installing 30 additional autogate units at the international arrival terminal of Ngurah Rai Airport which is targeted for completion in August 2024.

Not only at the international arrival terminal, the Immigration plan is to also install an additional 20autogate at the international departure terminal.

So that a total of 80 units of autogates are activated at Ngurah Rai Airport, Bali.

Currently, the autogate can be used for Indonesian travelers for all types of passports, either ordinary passports or electronic passports.

Meanwhile, foreign nationals (WNA) are those who have an electronic passport for a visit visa upon arrival (E-VoA) and an electronic visa (E-Visa).

Then, foreigners who have a Limited Stay Permit Card (KITAS), Permanent Stay Permit Card (KITAP), and foreigners from visiting visa-free subjects (BVK) are ASEAN who have registered on the pagevisa.imigration.go.id page.

The immigration examination also integrates Facebook Recognition technology in the form of facial recognition and control of crossing management or Border Control Management (BCM).

Previously, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno on the sidelines of a coordination meeting for the preparation of the World Water Forum in Nusa Dua, Bali, Saturday (20/4) explained that the three-year forum is estimated to be attended by around 35 thousand delegates from around 193 countries in the world.
