The Head of Public Relations of the East Java Police, Kombes Dirmanto, stated that the Tanjung Perak Port Surabaya Police had named a police officer with the initials K (53) a member of the Sawahan Police as a suspect in an immoral crime and had detained him.

The person concerned, said Dirmanto, has been detained at the Tanjung Perak Police Detention Center for further intensive examination.

"Currently, because the person concerned is a member of a police station at the Surabaya Police, the East Java Police Propam team and the Surabaya Police have been working to check the code of ethics," he said.

Regarding the possibility of dishonorable dismissal (PTDH) against K, Dirmanto stated that the person concerned is currently still under investigation and asked to wait for the results of the examination.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanjung Perak Police, Iptu M Prasetyo, is currently still conducting a series of investigations. Including, digging up information from the reporting party who is also the victim's grandmother, as well as information from the victim himself.

"The victim has been questioned. Because he is still a minor, his grandmother will provide assistance," he said.

It is known that a member of the Police in Surabaya, with the initials K (53), was reported to the police on suspicion of sexual harassment. He was reported for allegedly sexually harassing his own stepdaughter.

According to the information gathered, the police officers who were reported for the alleged sexual harassment came from the Sawahan Sector Police (Polsek), under the auspices of the Surabaya Police.
