"The arrest originated from the suspicion of members of the East Jakarta Metro Police Resmob where there were two vehicles carrying suspicious goods," said East Jakarta Police Chief Kombes Erwin Kurniawan as quoted by Antara, Friday, March 5.

Erwin Kurniawan explained that the suspects with the initials TS, PP, GS, PS were secured when they were about to sell stolen goods by members on Jl. I Gusti Ngurah Rai, Cipinang Muara, East Jakarta at 01.30 WIB.

From this arrest, two cars were also confiscated as evidence used by the suspect in transporting the stolen goods.

"The suspects' intentions were sold to the collectors but our members have not yet realized the intention. Our members have succeeded in securing and arresting them," said Kombes Erwin.

Police are still investigating where the stolen goods will be sold. However, Erwin confirmed that the suspects had already carried out similar actions twice.

Erwin said the actions of the four suspects could be subject to Article 363 of the Criminal Code with the threat of seven years in prison.
