Dear Bonek, Police Affirm That You Can't Win During The Persib Kontra Persebaya Match Tomorrow

The Bandung City Police (Polresta) ensured that Persebaya Surabaya supporters alias Bonek were not allowed to attend the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung Regency when the away match against Persib was held on Saturday, April 20.

Bandung Police Chief Kombes Pol Kusworo Wibowo said that it was not allowed to guard Persebaya at the opponent's cage or away-day based on PSSI's decision.

"We have discussed it and we have placed personnel at the points we expect and we have also appealed to the opposing team supporters, Bonek, not to attend," said Kusworo in Bandung Regency, Friday, April 19, which was confiscated by Antara.

Kusworo said that if the visitors' supporters insisted on watching the match, Persib Bandung would be sanctioned again by PSSI.

"If later we could enter the opponent's supporters like that time, what happened during the Persib match against PSIS, he was worried that he would be subject to sanctions for supporters and the organizing committee," he said.

Furthermore, he said that his party had carried out patrol activities to anticipate the herd of the visitors who forced them to come to Si Jalak Harupat to watch the match.

"Our partition is carried out, let alone in Bandung, in Surabaya there has been an insulation," he said.

The Bandung Police deployed 1,300 joint personnel to secure Persib's match against Persebaya at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency at 15.00 WIB, Saturday 19 April.

Vice President of Operations of PT PERSIB Bandung with dignity, Andang Ruhiat reminded Persebaya Surabaya supporters to comply with Liga 1 Regulation 2023/2024 regarding the prohibition of the presence of guest supporters in away matches.

"Based on League 1 regulations and the mechanism for organizing Persib's home match, we again reminded the visitors not to attend the Persib match against Persebaya at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium," said Andang.

He said the rules for prohibiting the arrival of guest supporters were contained in Article 51 paragraph 6 of the 2023/2024 League Regulation and Article 141 of the PSSI Disciplinary Code in 2023.

The consequences for the violation of the regulation will result in punishment from the PSSI Disciplinary Commission (Komdis), both for the host club and the visitors.

Furthermore, he emphasized that Persib was not responsible for any losses suffered by the visiting team supporters from the violations he had committed.

"We have coordinated with the Police not to allow Persebaya supporters to enter the stadium area," he said.
