Polda Metro Will Check Pastor Gilbert After Doing This

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya will examine Pastor Gilbert Lumoindong who was reported on suspicion of blasphemy. But previously, investigators first examined witnesses and collected evidence.

"If (the examination) of Pastor Gilbert later, we will still collect the statements of the witnesses first and the available evidence," said Director of the General Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Wira Satya Triputra, to reporters, Friday, April 19.

The examination of witnesses and the collection of evidence are the first steps in following up on the report. After all, the reported party in this case, Pastor Gilbert, will be questioned.

The next stage, a case will be held to determine whether there is a criminal element. If found, the status will be upgraded to an investigation.

"After the series, we might go there (examination of Pastor Gilbert). But we have to complete it first," he said.

Wira also had time to state that her party would deepen the video of the lecture. Then, checking the reporter in the case, namely Farhat Abbas

"Including the deepening of evidence in the media and checking places of worship," said Wira.

Pastor Gilbert Lumoindong went viral because in his lecture he compared zakat between Muslims and Christians.

From the video circulating on social media, Pastor Gilbert is considered to have insulted Islam because he only paid zakat 2.5 percent and boasted because Christians used to give up 10 percent.

According to Gilbert, he said this when he mentioned the prayers of Muslims who must be pure first.

"I was taught Islam cleanly before praying, washing everything. I said, you are 2.5 percent myself 10 percent," said Pastor Gilbert.

Gilbert also said that with 10 percent alms, Christians do not have to bother praying. They only sing while Muslims pray quite hard, because they have to fold their feet at the end of the day.
