Central Java Golkar Party Supports Airlangga Back As Chairman

KARANGANYAR - Support for Airlangga Hartarto to return to his position as general chairman (ketum) of the Golkar Party continues to arrive. Most recently, support was given by the Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Central Java Golkar Party (Central Java).

Secretary of the Central Java Golkar Party DPD Juliyatmono said his party had agreed to re-elect Airlangga Hartarto, to become the chairman of the Golkar Party's national meeting (munas) which will take place in December 2024.

"All the chairman of the DPD I and the chairman of the DPD II regency city have agreed to vote again, Airlangga Hartarto, to become chairman of the Golkar Party," he said in Karanganyar, Central Java, Friday, April 19, as reported by ANTARA.

Juliyatmono admitted that the DPD I management, including the founding mass organizations and party wing organizations, all unanimously proposed choosing again, Airlangga, to lead the Golkar Party again.

"The support is written to maintain the solidity of the party so that it is intact until the December 2024 National Conference. Everything has been neatly arranged to enter whose cabinet after that, then organize the party again," he said.

Juliyatmono said, Central Java's Golkar solidly supports Airlangga Hartarto. One of the reasons is because of Airlangga's achievements in the 2024 General Election.

In the 2024 election, the Golkar Party under Airlangga's leadership experienced a significant increase in the number of seats, aka significant votes.

Previously, the Golkar Party wing organization, the Indonesian Renewal Youth Force (AMPI) emphasized that it was upright and officially declared its support for Airlangga Hartarto to lead the party bearing the banyan tree for the 2024-2029 period.

The declaration was inaugurated by the General Chairperson of the AMPI DPP Jerry Sambuaga at the AMPI extended family halal bihalal event which was held at the Double Tree Hotel Ballroom by Hilton, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (16/4/2024) night.

Jerry said AMPI solidly supports and is upright in Airlangga's leadership to become chairman again because it is considered successful in bringing Golkar to number two in the 2024 General Election.

"Under the leadership of general chairman Airlangga, it is very encouraging and real achievements the figure has increased by approximately 3 percent from 2019. Even in 2024 now it is 15.24 percent, and that is what we are waiting for and we want that achievement to continue with the general chairman for the next five years," said Jerry in his remarks.

AMPI, continued Jerry, is ready to welcome and guard and ready to be upright with General Chair Airlangga Hartarto who is very worthy to lead the Golkar Party in the future.
