KRI Halasan Owned By The Indonesian Navy Will Test Shooting Missiles In The Java-Bali Sea

JAKARTA - Fleet Command (Koarmada) I TNI Navy (AL) prepared KRI Halasan-630 for the Exocet MM40 Block 3 missile test in the Joint Sea Operations Exercise (Latopslagab) 2024 in the Java Sea and Bali Sea.

Commander of the Fleet Command (Pangkoarmada) I Rear Admiral TNI Yoos Suryono Hadi said the Sampari-class missile speedboat is currently docked in Surabaya, East Java.

"For joint sea operations activities, one KRI will prepare, namely KRI Halasan from the Koarmada I Fast Ship Unit, which is now in Surabaya to determine technical conditions, which is planned to carry out the Exocet MM40 Block 3 missile shooting," said Yoos when met after leading the ceremony at the Koarmada Unit Complex I Pondok Rowing, Jakarta, Thursday, April 18, which was confiscated by Antara.

He ensured that KRI Halasan was ready to participate in joint sea operations this year which is scheduled to take place in the near future.

"We are preparing it as well as possible. It is likely that tomorrow I will go there to check," said Yoos, who has also served on a fast missile ship in his career.

Joint sea operations are a routine agenda of the Indonesian Navy Fleet Command (Koarmada) involving ships and soldiers from three Indonesian Navy fleets, namely Koarmada I, Koarmada II, and Koarmada III.

Koarmada I TNI AL is currently based in Tanjungpinang, Riau Islands, and oversees the five main bases of the Indonesian Navy, namely Lantamal I Belawan, Lantamal II Padang, Lantamal III Jakarta, Lantamal IV Batam, and Lantamal XII Pontianak.

Then, Koarmada II, which is based in Surabaya, East Java, also oversees five lantamals, namely Lantamal V Surabaya, Lantamal VI Makassar, Lantamal VIII Kupang, Lantamal VIII Manado, and Lantamal XIII Tarakan.

Finally, Koarmada III, which is based in Sorong, Southwest Papua, oversees four bases, namely Lantamal IX Ambon, Lantamal X Jayapura, Lantamal XI Merauke, and Lantamal XIV Sorong.
