Highlighting The Case Of Plates For Fake Service Numbers, The DPR Asks The TNI-Polri To Carry Out Supervision In The Field

JAKARTA - Commission III of the DPR RI also highlighted the case of using fake service number plates by Toyota Fortuner car drivers which went viral on social media recently. Currently, the driver with the initials PWGA has been named a suspect in falsifying vehicle numbers.

Deputy Chairman of Commission III of the DPR RI, Ahmad Sahroni hopes that the TNI-Polri can continue to synergize and collaborate to tighten the use of official plates so as not to be misused.

"The National Police must immediately cooperate with the TNI to monitor the use of official plates, so the two institutions must take care of each other's good name. Because the problem with the service plate is the result of many people's actions, whether it turns out to be used by relatives, relatives, or even irresponsible individuals," Sahroni told reporters, Thursday, April 18. Sahroni is worried that the behavior of unscrupulous counterfeiting of official car plates will create a commotion in the community. Therefore, the DKI Jakarta electoral district legislator assesses that supervision is important because it involves driving ethics on the highway.

"Do not let the actions of a handful of individuals become a result, the community has a bad perception of the service plate. Even though the use of official plates for certain officials has indeed been regulated in the law," said Sahroni.

According to Sahroni, it is also necessary to supervise the TNI-Polri in the field to minimize the use of free service plates by civil society.

"So that everything is orderly, it can be monitored regularly, so no one is'strengthening'. Because the arrogant ones are usually unscrupulous, not the original plate owners," said Sahroni. Meanwhile, the Criminal Investigation Police confirmed that they would investigate cases of alleged violence against people with reported Fortuner car drivers who went viral because they were arrogant and used the TNI Headquarters service plate. Although PWGA has been arrested by Polda Metro Jaya.

"In Bareskrim, regarding the 170 KUHP report, it will certainly be handled, for developments it will be submitted to the reporter," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, to VOI, Thursday, April 18.

The case of alleged violence against people contained in Article 170 of the Criminal Code was originally reported by Marcellina Irianti Deca with registration number LP/115/IV/2024/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI.
