SAR Is Still Looking For Bandung Youth To Roll Up The Waves Of Cemara Beach, Cianjur, Which Suddenly Gets Big

The joint SAR team continues to search for another missing victim who was carried away by the waves while swimming at Cemara Beach, Cidamar Village, Cidaun District, Cianjur, Wednesday, April 17.

The victim, who is still missing, named Radi Ramlan (18), was blown away by a sudden big wave. Meanwhile, Najwar (17) was rescued because he had not been dragged far away. Both are tourists from Bandung.

"The four of them traveled to the southern coast of Cianjur, two people were desperate to swim during high waves, so that they were carried by the waves into the middle of the sea, Najwar was found safe, while Radi is still being searched," said the Head of BPBD Cianjur, Asep Sukma Wijaya when contacted, Wednesday, April 17, confiscated by Antara.

He explained that currently the joint SAR team consisting of BPBD Cianjur, Basarnas Cianjur, Polair Polres Cianjur and volunteers are still trying to search for Radi, who is thought to have been carried away by the waves to the middle.

For this reason, Asep said the search involved local fishermen to help if they saw the victim's body in the hope that it could be found soon.

Asep said, as of Wednesday, April 17 this evening, officers were divided into two teams to conduct center and beach crossings.

"During the long holiday, we have alerted volunteers and put up a ban board for tourists to approach the shoreline because of high waves, including at the time of the incident residents and officers have warned tourists," he said.

While information from local fishermen, they saw the victim swimming with his friend when they arrived at Cemara Beach, after a while they heard screams for help because the victim was dragged by the waves into the middle of the sea.

Fishermen and officers had provided assistance and managed to save one of the victims.

"One person survived and another person was lost by the current to the middle, so we had difficulty finding him. We reported this to the authorities and continued to BPBD and Polair Cianjur Police," said fisherman Rahmat.
