Police Arrest 2 Of 7 Cianjur District Court Detainees Who Escaped, Remaining 1 Entered DPO

JABAR - Police have again arrested two detainees who escaped from the Cianjur District Court (PN). Both on behalf of Riko Permana and Yeri Abdurahman were arrested at their hiding place in a garden center hut in Cikalongkulon District, Cianjur, Wednesday, April 17.

Cianjur Police Chief AKBP Aszhari Kurniawan said that until now his party had arrested six prisoners from seven who had escaped. Another prisoner named Ujang Irvan alias Boncel has been included in the People's Wanted List (DPO).

"Both of them were arrested after receiving reports from residents who saw their presence in the middle of the garden, officers immediately made arrests," he said in Cianjur, West Java, Wednesday, April 17, which was confiscated by Antara.

Officers were forced to take measured action by shooting them in the legs as they tried to escape when they were about to be arrested and then handed over to the Cianjur District Attorney for further processing.

As for one other detainee who is still at large, his party has spread members in the hope of arresting the perpetrators as soon as possible. "We have deployed members and coordinated with the nearest Polres to help with the search," he said.

Kasatreskrim Cianjur Police AKP Tono Listianto, said information from residents who had seen the two fugitives immediately reported to officers hiding in a hut in the middle of a garden belonging to one of the fugitives.

"During Eid they were seen in the vicinity of the hut in the middle of the garden, so residents reported this, both of them had to be rewarded with hot lead because they tried to escape when they were about to be arrested," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Cianjur District Attorney's Office, Yudi Ptohastoro, said that the two escaped prisoners who were re-arrested were a syndicate of rice warehouse demolition cases some time ago and had received a decision from the Cianjur District Court 2 years and 6 months in prison.

"We ask the family or parties who know of the whereabouts of detainees on behalf of Ujang who have not been arrested not to prevent the officers, and immediately report to the authorities," he said.

Meanwhile, four detainees who have been arrested again on behalf of Asep Gunawan alias Haji, Rifki Mahesa alias Asep, Raihan and M Akbar, are currently undergoing additional legal processes for their actions of running away after undergoing a trial at the Cianjur District Court.
