DKI Provincial Government Permanently Closes JLNT Casablanca Every Early Morning And U-Turn Citywalk Sudirman

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has set a permanent closure of the Casablanca Nontol Flyover (JLNT) every morning, after previously testing was implemented. The closure of JLNT Casablanca takes effect from 00.00 to 04.00 WIB. Then, the U-Turn Citywalk Sudirman or on Jalan KH Mas Mansyur-Habib Usman Mufti is also permanently closed. "Our closure will be extended automatically. Based on the evaluation results, the closure will be extended or closed onwards," said Head of the DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, to reporters, Wednesday, April 17. Syafrin explained that the decision to close JLNT Casablanca every morning was considered quite effective in reducing the number of accidents. Moreover, no impact of congestion has occurred due to the diversion of traffic flow from the closure. "We will monitor the closure of JLNT at 12 pm until 04.00 p.m. effective. This means that when the road is closed at midnight, the traffic is below, on Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio is quite normal and smooth," said Syafrin. "We hope this can be understood by the public that in order to improve the safety of motorists, especially at midnight at JLNT, traffic accidents often occur with high fatality," he added. Likewise with the permanent closure of Sudirman's U-Turn Citywalk which Syafrin considers to reduce the impact of congestion due to returning vehicles. "We urge the public if they want to rotate from west to east or vice versa, use the existing flyover," he said. In its implementation, JLNT Casablanca is closed from 00.00 to 04.00 WIB on both sides, namely the West (Citywalk) and the East (Kasablanka City Meal). As an alternative route, vehicles from the west (Tanah Abang) or from the east (Casablanca) can go through the lower lane of Jalan Prof. Dr. Satrio. Meanwhile, in the closure of the U-Turn Citywalk on Jalan KH Mas Mansyur-Habib Usman Mufti, an alternative round traffic engineering was carried out which could be passed by vehicles. Vehicles from the east (Casablanca) to the east/north (Sudirman) can use the east-east round in front of the Cassadomaine Apartment with a distance of about 600 meters from the existing round. Vehicles from the west (Tanah Abang) to the west (Cleaning) can use a west-west round in front of Intiland as far as 500 meters. Then, those who will head south (Senayan) can use the west-west round in front of Wihara Amurva Bhumi as far as 1 kilometer from the existing round.

Selanjutnya, dilakukan pengaturan sistem satu arah di Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur 1 ke arah dalam/utara (Sudirman). Lalu lintas dari Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur 2 yang akan menuju ke Jalan Habib Usman Mufti dapat terus di Jalan Karet Pasar Baru Timur 2-belok kiri ke Jalan RM Margono Djodjohadikoesoemo-belok kiri ke Jalan Habib Usman Mufti-Jalan KH Mas Mansyur.
