D+4 Lebaran, Backflow Starts To Be Empty In Bakauheni

BAKAUHENI - The backflow of two-wheeled (R2) and four-wheeled passenger vehicles (R4) at Bakauheni Port, Lampung, began to fall on Monday (15/4) morning or entered the fourth day after Eid al-Fitr 1445 Hijriah.

Quoted from ANTARA, under the monitoring of the conditions of backflow at Bakauheni Port, Monday, at 08.30 WIB, the queue conditions for R2 and R4 vehicles on the route to the ship were not as congested as observed on Sunday, April 14 morning.

R2 vehicles queue only on one route out of a total of two available lanes. Vehicles do not line up to the port gate. There are dozens of motorbikes waiting for their turn to enter the ship.

Meanwhile, the queue line for R4 vehicles is also very quiet. No more than 20 units of vehicles are queuing up. In fact, when vehicles are allowed to move to the ship, there are no more vehicles waiting in line to get their next turn.

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Bakauheni Main Branch recorded on Sunday (14/4) the number of R4 vehicles that were dispatched from Bakauheni Port to Merak Port, Banten, as many as 19,792 units and R4 vehicles as many as 18,596 units.

"The crossing on April 14 is served by 33 ships with a total of 130 trips," said General Manager of PT Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Bakauheni Branch.

He added that ASDP provided as many as 66 ships that were operated as needed to serve backflow from Sumatra Island to Java Island through Bakauheni Port and Panjang Port, and vice versa from Java to Sumatra through Merak Port and Ciwandan Port.
