Police: The Peak Of Backflow On The Peak Route To Jakarta Has Passed

The Cianjur Resort Police Traffic Unit predicts that the peak of backflow on the Puncak tourist route, West Java, which connects roads from Bandung and Cianjur to Bogor to Jakarta, has been passed. Head of Cianjur Police Traffic Unit Adjunct Commissioner Anjar Maulana said the peak of the flow density of tourists and travelers from Cianjur direction and from Bogor to Puncak area had occurred on Saturday (13/4) or D+2 Lebaran 2024. "The peak traffic flow that we monitored yesterday. Friday (12/4) began to increase, Saturday (13/4) quite a lot," said Anjar when met at the Puncak Pass Lebaran Security Post, Cianjur Regency, West Java, Sunday. He predicts this because the volume of vehicles heading to the Peak area this Sunday is less than the previous day.

On Saturday (13/4), the queue tail for vehicles to Puncak reached about 9 kilometers to the intersection of the Surya Indah Hotel, while this Sunday the queue for vehicles was shorter. "Vehicles from the direction of Bogor are still there, but our estimates are not too many today or Monday (15/4)," he said.

Even though the flow of vehicles began to slope, the Cianjur Police together with the Bogor Resort Police continued to apply one-way traffic engineering in the context of the return flow to Jakarta since 12.30 WIB.

The engineering also made the flow of vehicles from Jakarta to Puncak temporarily closed starting from the Jagorawi Toll Road. He said the one way system towards Jakarta from Puncak was implemented based on coordination with the Bogor Police until the traffic flow situation returned to normal without any queues of vehicles. "We see the length of the queue tail, if it returns long we will do one way again," he said.
