Alternative Routes In West Java Can Be Utilized By Homecomers For Homecoming Backflow

JAKARTA - The West Java Provincial Government (Pemprov) together with the police have prepared alternative routes for Eid Al-Fitr 2024 travelers.

The alternative routes are located on the north coast (Pantura), in the middle, and the southern coastal route (pansela) of West Java.

The West Java Regional Secretary, Herman Suryatman, explained that the alternative route prepared was to reduce the congestion that often occurs on the main route.

The utilization of the main road network is maximized in order to accommodate traffic flow movements.

You see, the increasing volume of vehicles often causes congestion on main roads, especially on access to tourist attractions, markets, and rest areas.

"Therefore, it is necessary to prepare an alternative route that is a unit of the main road network system," said Herman Suryatman.

However, Herman reminded travelers who will use the West Java alternative route to consider several technical and non-technical matters, including the condition of the vehicle.

"It must be considered technical and non-technical issues such as the weather, vehicle conditions, and driver's knowledge about road conditions. This is important to consider because the conditions of the West Java alternative lane field are different from the main route," he said.

According to Herman, the police and the West Java Provincial Government are currently considering maximizing traffic management on the main route before directing the vehicle to an alternative route.
