JAKARTA - Indonesian citizens (WNI) are advised to postpone travel to Iran and Israel if it is not urgent, the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said by upload on X on Saturday.

According to the Indonesian Embassy in Tehran, the number of Indonesian citizens in Iran was recorded at 376 people, most of whom were students in Qom City.

Israel is on high alert amid Iranian threats to attack Israeli targets in retaliation for airstrikes on April 1 against its diplomatic facility in the Syrian capital, Damascus.

The attack killed at least seven members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including two important generals.

Iran accuses Israel of carrying out the attack and promises to retaliate. Iranian political and military leaders vowed to retaliate.
