JAKARTA - Officers diverted vehicles from Jakarta to Cirebon crossing the Pantura route following the implementation of a policy of one way from KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate, Batang-Semarang Toll Road to KM 72 Cikopo at the end of the Cipali Toll Road.

Jasa Marga Marketing and Communication Department Head Faiza Riani, in his statement in Purwakarta, Saturday said that PT Jasa Marga supports police discretion to implement traffic engineering one way on the backflow of Eid on the Trans Java Toll Road from Semarang to Cikampek.

Traffic engineering for one way is enforced on Saturday from 15.00 WIB.

With the end of the one way point at KM 72, road users from Jakarta heading towards Cirebon crossing the Cipali Toll Road/Trans Java Toll Road will be diverted to the exit of the Cikampek KM 72 Toll Gate, the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.

Then the driver continued his journey through the Pantura route. As for the route for road users from Jakarta to Bandung, it is still normal.

He conveyed that the implementation of traffic engineering was based on an indicator of the traffic counting volume along KM 414 of the Batang-Semarang Toll Road to KM 190 of the Palikanci Toll Road which was monitored for three consecutive hours and the number of traffic volumes in that period was recorded above the indicator.

"Given that the flow of homecoming yesterday has also been implemented by a number of traffic engineering, to ensure the smooth flow of traffic on backflow, we continue to collaborate with the police, the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture, the Ministry of Transportation, and the Ministry of Public Works and Housing in monitoring indicators of toll road traffic volume through traffic counting which is a recommendation for the implementation of the necessary traffic engineering scenario," said Faiza, quoted by Antara.
