JAKARTA - The Cianjur Police have implemented a one-way system to Bogor faster because of the increasing volume of vehicles crossing the main Cianjur route.

The Cianjur Police are coordinating with the Bogor Resort Police regarding the implementation of a one-way system to avoid total traffic jams on that route.

D+1 Lebaran, the volume of vehicles from Cianjur and Bogor has increased, especially residents from the two areas who want to make a gathering mingling with tourist vehicles who want to spend the Eid al-Fitr 2024 holiday period.

The increasing volume of vehicles can be seen in a number of tourist attractions in the Puncak-Cipanas area, ranging from Sevilage-Puncak, Cibodas Botanical Gardens, Taman Bunga Nusantara, to hotel parking lots and restaurants along the route.

In order to anticipate total traffic jams along with the increase in the number of vehicles crossing the main Cianjur route, officers from each post along the Puncak-Cianjur route implemented current engineering, including enforcing a one-way open and close system.

The implementation of the one-way system from 12.00 WIB to the queue of vehicles heading towards Bogor has melted. However, the implementation of this one-way system saw the situation when the queue melted the flow of vehicles again opened from both directions.

Kasatlantas Cianjur Police AKP Anjar Maulana in Cianjur, Friday, said that the implementation of the one-way system was due to the high volume of vehicles along the Puncak route to Bogor, resulting in a relatively long queue.

"In order to anticipate the occurrence of total traffic jams due to the dense volume of vehicles in the Bogor jurisdiction and to Bogor from Cianjur, we carried out a one-way system faster," he said, as reported by Antara, Friday, April 12.

This, he said, was because in the evening the volume of vehicles would increase again in line with the closure of tourist attractions in the Puncak-Cipanas area. Thus, it will reimpose a one-way system to disburse the queue.

Meanwhile, a number of motorists with the aim of Cianjur from Bogor admitted that it took a relatively long time to travel until even though there was an implementation of a one-way system from Bogor in the morning. This is because of the congestion of vehicles heading to the Puncak-Cianjur area in the morning.

"Almost 4 hours from Gadog-Ciawi to get to the Cipanas area, continued to Cianjur for about 2 hours because the speed of the vehicle had stalled at a number of points prone to traffic jams such as Hanjawar and Cipanas Market," said a motorist from Depok named Aditiya Bassa.
