JAKARTA - The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Senior Commissioner of Police Satake Bayu Setianto shared the chronology of the Rosalia Indah Bus accident on the Semarang-Batang toll road in the Kendal Regency area, Central Java, Thursday 11 April.Satake said the accident occurred at 06.35 am and was a single accident caused by a sleepy driver. Satake said, the bus was traveling in the left lane, but when it arrived at KM 370+200 lane A, the bus lost control and entered the ditch. "The driver was sleepy until the PO Rosalia Indah bus got out of the road and entered the ditch for 200 meters," he explained, Thursday, April 11. As a result, 7 passengers reportedly died, one of which was a bus conductor. "The conductor was caught, died. He has been evacuated to the hospital, along with other injured victims," he said. Data from the police, of 34 passengers (including drivers and conductors), seven people died. While 15 people were injured, and the rest (12 passengers) survived. The victims were evacuated to the Weleri Islamic Hospital, Kendal Regency.

Satake said that currently his party is still coordinating with officers to evaluate the bus that fell into a ditch. "The bus is still in a ditch, we are still coordinating with the officers to evaluate the bus. So far it has not disturbed the road, because it is still in a ditch," he said.
