SITUBONDO - The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Situbondo Resort Police, East Java secured two suspected airline ticket brokers for the Janger Port route to several islands in Sumenep Regency, Madura. Police arrested two brothers suspected of being involved in online ticket brokering practice with the initials AP (42) and DW (32) residents of the Janger Village/District. "Both admitted that the travelers were drawn at an unreasonable price for one car unit, namely Rp. 750,000 from ticket prices below Rp. 500,000," said Momon. The modus operandi of the two perpetrators, he said, by buying up the ferry ticket ticket purchase through the application and then selling it to prospective passengers (travelers) at an unreasonable price. In fact, information compiled by ANTARA, a number of travelers to Raas Island and Saputi Island purchased special tickets for the two suspected ticket perpetrators ranging from Rp. 750,000, Rp. 1,500, Rp. 1,500,000 to Rp. 2,000,000.

"In addition to examining the two, our investigators also asked for information from a number of witnesses and prospective passengers on the ferry (homecoming)," said Momon. So far, prospective ferry passengers from Janger Port to Raas Island, Sapudi Island, Kangean Island and Kalianget, Sumenep Regency, admitted that they were restless, especially during the momentum of the Eid homecoming flow.
