Zainuddin explained that initially there was a fight between groups of teenagers in Baliase Village, Masamba District, North Luwu.
"So initially there was clashes between groups of teenagers. When the police dispersed, several teenagers ran into the mosque. Then seen by other groups, this was what they were chasing into the mosque. So it wasn't an attack on the mosque," he explained.
At that time the group of teenagers forced their way into the mosque by kicking the door. The anarchist action made several congregants who were practicing in the mosque panic.
