Aoki Vera Sindir KPK 'Bobo Siang' And Touching The IDR 1.3 Trillion Budget, This Is The KPK's Response

JAKARTA - Aoki Vera was angry about the KPK's performance. While pinning the term 'bobo Siang', Aoki Vera questioned the performance of the KPK which is said to have a budget of IDR 1.3 trillion.

Acting KPK spokesman for prosecution, Ali Fikri explained the KPK's performance. The KPK budget for 2021 was initially set at Rp1,305,075,256.

"Then, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the KPK then refocused the budget and revised the budget to Rp1,159,908,593," Ali told reporters, Thursday, March 4.

Ali Fikri emphasized that this budget amount was not fully used to pay employee salaries. With the current number of employees of 1,626 people, the budget used for personnel expenditures is Rp. 636,839,546,000

As for the 2020 performance, the KPK has conveyed it to the public on December 30, 2020.

In 2020, the KPK will receive a budget ceiling of IDR 920.3 billion. Until December 21, 2020, the realization of the use of the KPK budget reached 91.7 percent or Rp. 843.8 billion.

"From the budget, the KPK has returned state money through non-tax state revenue through case handling amounting to Rp120.3 billion," said Ali.

In addition, the Corruption Eradication Commission also made efforts to recover, control, and optimize assets that succeeded in saving potential state financial losses of IDR 592.4 trillion.

Meanwhile, in terms of prevention, the KPK produced 29 study reports consisting of 20 studies related to COVID-19, 9 non-COVID-19 studies and 1 integrity assessment survey.

There is also the potential to save state money of IDR 652.8 billion, which comes from a pre-employment card study of IDR 30.8 billion and a study on synchronizing social safety net data of IDR 622 billion.

"Not only to save state finances, these studies are carried out to improve systems and governance so that performance is more efficient and effective," explained Ali.
