JAKARTA - Nusantara Strategic Network (NSN) issued a survey result on the level of public satisfaction with the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan. The result is beyond predictions, considering that Anies claims to have succeeded in dealing with floods in Jakarta.

NSN conducted a face-to-face survey from 20-27 February 2021 with 400 respondents representing all areas in DKI Jakarta.

NSN Program Director Riandi said the level of public satisfaction with Anies was low and only reached 39.3 percent. "The level of public satisfaction with DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan is very low, below 40 percent," said Riandi in a press release reported by Antara, Thursday, 4 March.

The residents of the capital who feel dissatisfied are 51.5 percent. Meanwhile, the rest who answered did not know / did not answer 9.2 percent. The results of the NSN survey are quite different from the LSI

In a number of surveys of presidential candidates, Anies's name often tops the ranks. Anies is also believed to be running for the second time if the local elections are held in 2022. However, said Riandi, with a poor performance, Anies must work hard to be able to win again.

"Since his initial tenure as Governor, Anies seemed unable to deliver the program as was done by other regional heads," said Riandi.

Anies only revolves around narration, which is indeed an advantage in arranging words through the media.

Moreover, a number of members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, led by the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), intend to carry out an interpellation regarding flooding.

In his campaign promise, he said, Anies proposed naturalization as an alternative to normalization, but floods continued to hit the capital.

"The remaining time for Anies to improve his performance is getting narrower before the period ends next year, especially if the election schedule is postponed in 2024, Anies' chances are getting slimmer to compete on the national political stage," said Riandi.

The survey used a multistage random sampling method, with a margin of error of ± 4.9 percent and a confidence level of 95 percent.
