Couple Invites Two Children To Steal Tens Of Millions Of Money From Electronic Stores In Cakung

JAKARTA - A family consisting of husband, wife and two children, was desperate to break into an electronic store safe on Jalan Raya Pegilingan, Cakung District, East Jakarta. The perpetrators managed to steal Rp11 million in money belonging to the shop.

The gang of perpetrators initially pretended to be buyers at the electronics store. The perpetrators of the husband and wife deliberately used their two young children so that their actions were not suspected.

They came by car to convince the shopkeeper. One of the women and one child first got out of the car they were traveling in.

"It happened as usual, consumers came. Only this one he used a car. The first one that dropped by was two people, the mothers and children were teenagers. They had asked about the goods," said one of the store employees, Iman, to reporters, Friday, April 5.

Then the husband and wife (couple) took the attention of store employees by pretending to ask about the price of electronic goods. This one family gang numbered four people and came by car.

"Then the one who brought his car, her husband or whoever got off. It's just that I didn't know that he (the other perpetrator) came down to the shop. Because I was focusing on the mother who first came," he said.

Iman claimed to be deceived by female perpetrators. He continued to be invited to talk by female perpetrators so that he did not pay close attention to an unknown person entering the shop where he worked.

"I was invited to chat, ask for goods. I didn't monitor it. That's where they had the opportunity, on the one hand I was negligent too. I didn't know someone even came in. He took nearly Rp11 million in cash," he said.

Iman said the perpetrator entered directly to the table where the money was stored.

"The perpetrator took it directly from the drawer table. They took action with a toddler, so he brought the baby so he wouldn't find out. He had already monitored it like that. They got in the car," he said.

For this incident, the victim made a report to the Cakung Police. The evidence confiscated was CCTV camera footage from the scene.

"I have made a police report, go directly to the Cakung Police," he said.
