JAKARTA - The Ganjar-Mahfud legal team was surprised by Muhammad Qodari because he openly stated that his side supports Prabowo-Gibran when he was presented as an expert witness in the 2024 presidential election dispute trial, Thursday, April 4.

Experts in the trial are known to be independent. Therefore, the Ganjar-Mahfud legal team questioned about the Qodari status brought in by the Prabowo-Gibran legal team.

"We are also a bit confused about wanting to summon an expert or witness because from the start we have taken sides," said a member of Ganjar Mahfud's legal team, Ignatius Andy, during a presidential election dispute trial at the Constitutional Court Building (MK), Jakarta, Thursday, April 4 evening.

Previously, the presence of Qodari, known as the Executive Director of the Indo Baroemeter as well as the leader of the organization 'One Round Movement', tended to support Prabowo-Gibran in protest after being presented as a witness in today's 2024 presidential election dispute trial.

This was conveyed by the head of the Ganjar-Mahfud legal team, Todung Mulya Lubis, who said that experts should not be biased and intersect with independent activities.

"I also want to convey on behalf of the applicant two, our reservation for Muhammad Qodari's brother," said Todung.

"Against Qodari, why are we making reservations? Because we believe as experts we must be independent. It is unbiased. However, we saw that Brother Qodari was involved in several 'One Round Movement' activities and also voiced Jokowi's three-term position. This interferes with the independence of the person concerned," he said.
