Acting Regent Of Garut Invites Travelers To Be Fatigue To Make The Head Office A Sub-District For Rest Areas

Acting (Pj) Garut Regent Barnas Adjidin conveyed that the sub-district government office which is on the homecoming route in Garut Regency can be used as a place to rest or rest area for tired travelers.

"These sub-districts can be opened, so I have instructed us to give space, including mosques that will provide places of worship, and so on," said Barnas in Garut, West Java (West Java), Thursday, April 4, which was confiscated by Antara.

He said the Garut Regency Government (Pemkab) was ready to provide homecoming services in Operation Ketupat Lodaya 2024 for the convenience and security of people who wanted to go home or back during the 2024 Eid momentum.

One of the service facilities that is prepared, he continued, by providing posts and resting places on the homecoming route, including all other public facilities such as restaurants, mosques are also provided with resting places.

"We hope that there are places that can later be used for people to rest, including restaurants," he said.

He conveyed that the facilities for resting places must always be available, namely at security posts that have been prepared by the police and other agencies to serve travelers.

"Do not let the posts have no'rest area', namely to be able to rest," he said.

He added that the services provided were not only a place of rest for travelers, but also health services by preparing health posts, and also on standby 24 hours of puskesmas and hospital services.

In addition, he continued, the condition of provincial and district roads was also repaired to provide comfort for travelers when passing the streets in Garut.

"Sudah memerintahkan PUPR untuk menyelesaikan seluruh jalan yang nanti akan dilangki, mudah-mudahan pada saatnya bisa selesai," katanya.

Barnas also conveyed various anticipatory steps in rainy weather conditions that have the potential for natural disasters such as landslides, especially on the homecoming route by preparing equipment, as well as alerting heavy equipment vehicles.

Officers from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and other agencies, he said, have been confirmed to be ready to tackle areas affected by natural disasters such as landslides or fallen trees blocking roads.

"Of course Garut with this potential must prepare in the field, both for traffic flow if there are fallen trees, and so on, then we will also prepare next in remote areas, if there is a landslide that hits the community," he said.
