Police Implement Open Close At Rest Area KM 57 Jakarta - Cikampek Toll Road

The police have imposed a parking open and close system at the KM57 rest area of the Trans Java Toll Road for the Jakarta - Cikampek section, Karawang, West Java so that there is no accumulation of homecoming vehicles that stop by both private cars and buses.

"With this system, we hope that there will be no congestion or accumulation of vehicles that could potentially disrupt the smooth flow of traffic," said Karawang Police Traffic Head AKP Lucky Martono when met at the KM57 rest area, reported by ANTARA, Thursday, April 4.

Based on the results of observations by police officers this afternoon or to coincide with D-6 to D-5 Lebaran, the number of visits is still relatively normal, so there are still many vehicle parking spaces that can be maximized.

The implementation of the open and close system will be carried out situationally according to the conditions for the development of traffic flow.

"Visitors in the KM57 rest area usually occur in the evening or before breaking the fast, and early morning before dawn, until now it is still normal," he said.

The police predict that the open and close system in the KM57 rest area will be effective from D-4 to D-1 Lebaran (6-9 April).

This is because the information received by the police from the toll road management authority, during that period there will be an increase in toll road users with a percentage of around 20-40 percent per day.

So in the implementation of opening and closing later, travelers are given a maximum parking time of 30 minutes to meet their needs in the rest area.

After that, police officers invited them to continue their journey again alternately with other travelers.
