Constitutional Court Judge Sindir Prabowo-Gibran Margarito Expert: Done This Comes Again To Prof. Yusril After Knowledge

JAKARTA - Deputy Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK), Saldi Isra, quipped Margarito Thursday who is an expert from Prabowo-Gibran by asking him to return to studying with Yusril Ihza Mahendra.

The satire began when Saldi responded to the opinion that Margarito had conveyed before the trial. He said he was very happy to hear Margarito in his opening that Yusril Ihza Mahendra was his teacher.

"I'm happy, Mr. Margarito, starting with my prof. Yusril teacher, one. I'll connect you later," said Saldi during the trial of the General Election Result Dispute (PHPU) trial at the Constitutional Court, Thursday, April 4.

Then, Saldi joked that all court members were very excited when they got a list of witnesses and experts from the Prabowo-Gibran camp. Because, there is Margarito's name Thursday in it.

"Secondly, yesterday when we saw the list of names given by the relevant party's attorney, there was the name Mr. Margarito, we said that all the uniforms 'wah, today Thursday tomorrow will definitely be much brighter, Mr. Margarito's opinion' because he usually becomes an expert here on Thursday, it looks like that but on the other day it's not so bright, it's because today is just the match of the day's name," said Saldi jokingly.

Saldi then mentioned Margarito, who had not yet fully taken knowledge from his teacher. Because, he remembers that Yusril Ihza Mahendra had stated that no matter how great an expert would lose his views when there was a court decision.

"I still remember Professor Yusril's debates with the late Professor Harun Arasyid in 2001/2002, regarding the TAP MPR. At that time Prof. Harun appointed TAP MPR as a legal source, yes Prof. Yusril yes," said Saldi.

"Prof. Yusril said this 'it's even great for an expert, but if there is a written norm there is a court decision, the expert's opinion will fall if it is under the legal context'," he continued.

So, Saldi asked Margarito to meet his teacher again to take all his knowledge.

"Therefore, Mr. Margarito, there is a court decision that is said to be invalid and that maybe later Mr. Margatiro will finish coming back to Prof. Yusril to demand his knowledge in a kaffah manner, so in his religious concept," said Saldi.

Meanwhile, Margarito had mentioned that the Constitutional Court would violate the constitution if it examined the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) process. This is because Article 24C paragraph (1) of the 1945 Constitution states that the Constitutional Court is only authorized to try disputes over election results.
