Deputy President Commissioner Of BTN Targeted By KPK Regarding Investment Mechanism In PT Taspen

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has examined the Deputy President Commissioner of BTN Iqbal Latanro as a witness to the alleged corruption in PT Taspen (Persero) fictitious investments. He was questioned by investigators about the investment management mechanism in the state-owned company.

"It was confirmed by the investigative team about the mechanism and process of investment management activities at PT Taspen," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters in a written statement, Wednesday, April 3.

Iqbal, who was questioned on Tuesday, April 2, allegedly knew about the mechanism and process of investment management at PT Taspen (Persero) because he had served as President Director for the 2013-2020 period. The same thing was also explored from another witness, namely Genta Wira Anjalu, who is the former Head of the Investment Management Team of PT Insight Investments Management.

"The two witnesses were present," said Ali.

Previously reported, the KPK decided to increase allegations of corruption at PT Taspen (Persero) from investigation to investigation. Requests for prevention abroad against the Directorate General of Immigration at the Ministry of Law and Human Rights have also been carried out.

Based on information circulating, those prevented from leaving the country were Antonius N.S. Kosasih, who has now been disabled from his position and Ekiawan Heri Primaryanto as President Director of Insight Investments Management. This effort was made to facilitate investigations.

In this case, the KPK suspects that there was a fictitious investment that caused state losses of up to hundreds of billions of rupiah. This is an initial calculation because the amount can still increase according to the results issued by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP).
