Motives For Husband Killing Wife In Bogor, Annoyed By Referral, Even Stabs Head With Obeng

BOGOR - Bogor City Police revealed the motive for the murder by RM (28) against his wife, NA (26), on Jalan Johar 3, Kedungwaringin Village, Tanah Sareal District, Bogor City, on Thursday last week. The victim died after being stabbed in the head with a screwdriver.

Head of the Bogor City Police Ops, Kompol Wahyu Maduransyah, said the murder was known by the family of the suspect who was at the scene at that time.

"The murder was discovered by the suspect's biological mother (E), the suspect's aunt, and the suspect's sister, at that time at the scene," Wahyu told reporters, Monday, April 1.

E (55) who heard NA's screams immediately rushed to the victim's room, but the room door was locked. Because the victim's bedroom door could not be opened, E immediately contacted her husband and the suspect's father with the initials A who was at work.

After receiving news from his wife, A immediately rushed home. Arriving at the scene, he immediately forcibly opened the bedroom door. When the door opened, RM was still in the room, while NA was already lying covered in blood.

"Then the door was opened, the perpetrator was still there. Then when he secured the victim he was already lying in the room. The suspect tried to escape to his relative's place," said Wahyu.

From the police statement, it was found that the domestic relationship between RM and NA was not harmonious. On the day of the incident, RM had asked to reconcile or intend to improve his household relationship with NA. However, NA rejected RM's request.

Hearing the rejection, RM felt hurt and immediately carried out an attack by attaching NA's neck using his left arm. Then, NA immediately fought back by breaking in. After the pits were released, RM immediately pressed NA's body and took a minus-sized screwdriver which was stored on the room rack and stabbed it into the top of the victim's head.

"The suspect's hand grabbed the screwdriver and then stabbed him from the top left so that it hit the victim's right cheek. So many times the right and left randomly and stabbed the screwdriver into the top of the head," said Wahyu.

The police have confiscated a number of evidences from this murder case in the form of a minus screwdriver, a marriage book (legitimate husband and wife relationship evidence), damaged door hinges, cellphones, and clothes used by the suspect at the time of the incident. For his actions, RM was threatened with Article 44 Paragraph 3 of the Law on Domestic Violence (KDRT) on physical violence which resulted in death with a penalty of 15 years in prison.
