PDIP Secretary General Hasto: Pak Jokowi's Family Decides Gibran To Be A Vice Presidential Candidate At The End Of April 2023

Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto revealed that the family of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has approved Gibran Rakabuming Raka as a vice presidential candidate to accompany Prabowo Subianto in the 2024 presidential election since April 2023. Everything is known based on data collection and information from a number of parties.

"Based on the documents we collected, the statements we collected turned out to be at the end of April, Pak Jokowi's family had decided that Mas Gibran would become a vice presidential candidate," Hasto told reporters at the Media Center TPN Ganjar-Mahfud, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Monday, April 1.

Hasto said this was a form of lies shown by Gibran and his family. This is because the mayor of Solo was clarified by the party about whether or not to run in the 2023 presidential election.

"Then Mas Gibran emphasized in front of me and Pak Komar (Chairman of the Honorary Division of the PDIP DPP Komarudin Watubun) that he would not proceed there because he was born and raised in the PDI-P," said the Secretary of the TPN Ganjar-Mahfud.

Gibran also said that Hasto had mentioned his father's term, Jokowi, which would end soon. "That my father will expire next year, if I don't anchor to the PDI-P, where will I go again," said Hasto, referring to President Jokowi's eldest son statement.

In addition, Gibran was also called Hasto to give other lies when attending a consolidation meeting. At that time, he denied that he would run in the 2024 presidential election when asked by PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri.

However, recently Gibran was considered lying because he actually registered as a vice presidential candidate in October 2023. This lie is then considered a strategy to face the 2024 presidential election.

If the process then goes normally, democratically, maybe the people can see the truth. But this is what then underlies the abuse of power from the administration of state power, state resources, state tools. This is what the PDI-P is questioning about," said Hasto.

"If you betray the party, it is normal to be part of the party's dynamics. But when you betray the constitution, to democracy that is just to the people, especially the values of honesty of a leader are sacrificed, this becomes a serious problem for us as a nation," he concluded.
