TNI Polri Combs Active Grenade Around Tourist City, The Cooling Process Hasn't Been Seen

The TNI together with the National Police conducted a sweep to evacuate active grenades that were thrown into residential areas around the Cileungsi Tourism City.

This area is one of the locations affected by the explosion of the Regional Munisi Warehouse (Gud cheap) of the Indonesian Army Military Command (TNI AD) in Ciangsana, Bogor Regency, West Java which occurred on Saturday, March 30, evening.

According to information from the VOI TEAM, several ammunition such as grenades and bullets seemed to lie on the side of the road near residential areas.

"So far it is still being searched, most residential areas can be fired bullets and grenades, in the cluster area," said VOI TEAM, Achmad, whose house is in the Cibubur Tourism City complex.

As of 22.00 WIB, Achmad reported, the explosion was still heard around the City of Tourism. However, the flames were no longer visible.

"The current fire is not visible, maybe a new explosion of smoke from the explosion," he explained.

Achmad said that the cooling process around the housing estate by the security forces was still not visible. Although, he said, the residential area near the location of the explosion had been sterilized by the TNI. Including power outages.

"So now we are still sweeping people's homes, ammunition. For now, the explosion is still ongoing, the cooling process is still unknown," he said.

Achmad revealed, initially there was a bang like a firecracker. Then the second explosion followed to coincide with the time of breaking the fast.

Achmad, who is the head of the local RT, immediately coordinated with other RTs to convey information and appeal to residents that there had been an explosion in a bullet warehouse near his housing complex in Cibubur Tourism City.

"Then I as the head of the RT in the cluster evacuated my family and residents to be evacuated for safekeeping," he said.

Head of the Army Information Service (Kadispenad) Brigadier General Kristomei Sianturi said that as of 20.23 WIB, the fire was still burning the munitions warehouse complex.

The Munisi Warehouse for the Jaya Regional Military Command in Ciangsana keeps various types of Indonesian Army munitions, including large-caliber bullets, munitions for field artillery, and air defense artillery (arhanud).
